Training & Development Modules

Media101.org is the portal to 'Media – a power for good', a premium training resource specifically designed to increase the proficiency and overall capability of broadcasters. It is a user-friendly and a cost effective means of upskilling new - and not so new, broadcasters in best practice.

This first series focuses primarily on radio broadcasting and includes 12 modules - each comprising a video and study guide. Presented in plain English, they are designed as stand-alone, self-directed training resources.

The video modules are all under 15 minutes in duration, allowing for shorter attention spans and the ease of replaying again. They are produced to HD broadcast standard and are delivered ‘on demand’ via media101.org

The associated one and two page study guides can be downloaded for local storage and/or printing. They invite participants to interact with the videos and include interesting activities to engage those viewing by asking them to apply the new ideas to their own context, and to help anchor their learning.

So, what is included?

Nine of the modules in Series One are 101 level 'knowledge and skill' based training. They are pitched at frontline radio broadcasting staff, particularly those who present and produce programmes. The focus is on getting the fundamentals right.
